Altace
What is Altace?
You may have heard of the drug Altace. If not maybe you know it by its other names Ramipril or Tritaca. Altace is a branch of the ACE group (Angiotension Converting Enzyme). The medication has its main effective use in preventing high Blood Pressure as a consequence of heart-failure and is also used to better the chances of survival of a patient who has suffered a heart attack. ACE inhibitors hinder the production of Angiotensin II and thus the muscles of the arteries are relaxed. The medication allows the easier movement of blood to the heart by dilating the the arteries.
Uses of Altace
- It is taken to reduce hypertension.
- It is used by patients that suffer with heart defects or patients that have a medical history of heart attacks
- It is is normally recommended by doctors for patients over 55 years old and is taken as a treatment to prevent myocardial infection, death through cardiovascular problems, stroke, or for the need procedurally of revascularization
Precautions when using Altace
- It is recommended to only be used with the agreement of a doctor
- It is recommended to not being used during pregnancy or if you have plans for pregnancy, as the embryo potentially could be endangered. Your doctor ought to be consulted before you take the treatment if you are pregnant.

Dosage of Altace
